"I like to live in the now and to stay in tune with my intuition. New ideas often like to merge in my dreams, exactly during that small lapse of time between deep sleep and awakening…" — Nadette Charlet

About the Artist

From Belgium
to the edge
of Ireland

Nadette Charlet is a Belgian-born painter who has called the wild Beara Peninsula of West Cork home since 2005. A former illustrator and paper engineer, she once made pop-up books for Casterman and Moulinsart, the house behind Tintin. She now paints full-time, dividing her year between Ireland and winters spent traveling and immersing herself in the art and inspiration of the world.
Her work ranges from the landscapes and still lifes of West Cork to a freer, more intuitive language of people, moments and emotion... in watercolour, oil, acrylic and ink.
